Tomatoes now!! Even with all the rain and not much sun and warm weather the plants are doing quite well. Our sweet corn is not doing quite as good. We need some really nice warm weather for them. Hopefully they will produce ears for us and we will still get some decent corn. We will have to just wait and see. I can see some of our tomato plants are starting to get the spotty brown leaves on the bottom not a good sign. I just hope to get enough of those also to can. I am totally out of tomatoes. I hate to buy them. Well, I guess it is time to get ready for work. You have a very wonderful day.

The garden looks great! It's been unseasonably cool here too but warm enough during the day to make everything grow. And it stopped raining long enough for the hay farmers to get some hay baled. Hopefully we'll have some ripe tomatoes soon.
Wow, I think you will be able to feed a third world country this fall. Yumm!!
CTG Ponies,
It has finally stopped raining for the last few days. Just chances of showers now but the weather could be warmer!! I quess we either are complaining that it is too cold or it is to hot. Just can't please us I quess.
Stacy's Treasures,
We did plant huge gardens and it is going to keep me very busy this summer and fall!! But it sure will be worth it this winter!!
Do you prune your tomatoes to increase production? I forget what it is called but snip off that shoot that grows in the crotch and never produces flowers. Only pulls needed nutrients from the plant.
Islagringo,
I will do that thanks for the info.
I found your blog from Life on a Southern Farm. I live on a farm in Vermont. Anyway, your garden is beautiful and doing so well. I enjoyed your blog.
