Colors

The winds are blowing 40 to 45 miles an hour today.  The leaves are coming off the trees pretty fast.  The colors are fast approaching, to being done for the season.

I am now in the process of getting my broken finger moving.  Hard to do when the swelling is pretty prevalent in it yet.  The doc, said that I am still healing and I have another couple of weeks before the healing is close to being done.  Right now I have to make sure to try to move it so that it doesn't get any stiffer than it is already.  It will be around spring time before I will be able to make a complete fist, but I will try to get it before then.

I haven't been riding since I got hurt.  I hope to get back to it in the next couple of weeks.  We will see how it goes.  Hopefully, I still have lots of time before it is too cold to do it.  I will defiantly be going to lessons from now on, even after I get to being a confident rider.  The more I ride the better I will be able to handle a horse being bad.  Hopefully the being bucked off, taken off with and the losing my seat and falling off will be a little less likely to happen!

The husband has been doing lots of canning and freezing of vegetables, since he has been laid off.  He is now in the process of making cider donuts!  What a man I have!  I told him I should break more bones, more often!

Have a great week.

This is an old picture.

I was doing great with the lessons, then I had to fall and break my finger.  I was still doing lessons bareback, and I was finally getting the concept of riding with good balance.  We were doing some turns and going around and over obstacles.  That was the next step to getting the hang of staying on!  Bareback riding has been the best for me!

I find out Thursday how the finger is doing and when I can start getting the finger back in shape along with, when I can start riding again, and being able to do my normal day to day things without having to be extra careful!

We are getting a good start on getting things ready for winter, one load of logs is cut into pieces, just have to get it split.  The siding is on on the back porch.  NOW  all that is left is getting the snow blower ready, the front of the garage cleaned up, and another load of logs in, the furnace serviced,  and some fuel for back up if we need it!  I don't think we are ever ready for winter!

Fall leaves and sites.

Fall is one of the best times of year here in the northeast.  This is just one of the many large lakes in New York State.  The great Sacandaga.  The Great Sacandaga Lake (formerly the SacandagaReservoir) is a large lake situated in the Adirondack Park in northern New York in the United States. ... Great Sacandaga Lake is a reservoir. The original lake was greatly enlarged by a dam on theSacandaga River at the northeast end of the lake.  http://www.visitsacandaga.com/history.htm here is a great site to visit and learn about the lake.
