Official

It is official, it is muddy!  I might bring them in tonight, to get them out of the muck for the night, and let their feet dry out.

I had a dentist appointment this morning.  I had to be there by 8 this morning.  I had broken one of my back teeth at the gum.  He rebuilt it, put a post in and then put on a temporary crown.  My mouth is a little sore this afternoon.  Took around an hour and a half.

Then I went to the pet store and picked up the doggies some toys that they have to chew the treat off of.  I like to get Sara toys that will keep her occupied, being that she is only a year old and likes to chew on things she shouldn't!  I don't know how pairs of shoes she has chewed!  I just had a pair of my favorite dress boots done.  She had chewed the top of the zipper and boot, when I went to zip it up, the zipper came off the boot!  She has also chewed countless shoe strings.

Pretty mild today, we have 57 degrees, possible chance of rain tonight.       more rain :(

Long

The hubby finally, was able to purchase his trailer.  He has been wanting one for quite some time.  He is going to have a good year, hopefully.  The next big thing is going to get his shop up this year.  I told him after that, it is time to start working on the house.  The house  needs some major renovations.   I have lots of things, that I would love to get done to the house.  This year it is starting with doing some major purging!  I am going to rent a dumpster and start going through the house next month.  Then, I will start with spring cleaning.  I am hoping to update some of my appliances.  We will have to see how the year goes.

Hope you have a great week.

80

No, pictures.  I have been really lazy when it comes to taking pictures.  I got the son out in the barn helping me weave.  He did a rag rug.(the easy stuff) Turned out pretty darn good.  He is doing the rugs while I weave the more intricate stuff.  Hopefully, we will get rugs, scarves and maybe another towel or two off before the middle of next week.  Then I will have to spend the last half of the week getting things ready for the show next weekend.

I can't believe that it was almost 80 today.  Now, I know why everyone is coming down with colds.  Chilly, cold, chilly, warm, hot!  Mother nature, what are you doing to us.  If you are one of those that is getting to enjoy the weather, well, hopefully, we get to keep on enjoying the mild winter this year.  Spring is just in a few days and the clocks get turned ahead.  I hate that the worst, the time change!

Hope you have a great evening.

New

We are now proud owners of our very first goose neck trailer.  We are now trying to get a gooseneck conversion plate to replace the fifth wheel, that came with our truck when we bought it.  Not easy to accomplish, but we are finding out, that it would be better to keep the fifth wheel rather than using the gooseneck.  We are looking at a sleeve, that goes up into the gooseneck, so that we can use our existing fifth wheel for hauling the trailer.  Got a great deal on the trailer to.

Now the guys will be able to haul all their hit and miss engines to the shows, with just one trip instead of doing a couple or more!  It is a 25.5 foot trailer.  Hopefully we will be going to pick it up this weekend.

Not much else going on at this point.  The family is hounding me to blog more often.  I don't know if I will, but I will try.  We shall see.

Hope you have a great evening.

The pooches are just relaxing and sitting by their momma.  No matter where I go, they are always at my feet.  I will be glad to have them around when the kids finally leave the house. (IF they ever do)

Cold and windy today.  The son had his first interview, but the gentleman that was supposed to interview him ended having to go out on an emergency for some such reason.  So, he has to go back tomorrow.  I am headed out to the barn to try to get some things done for a show in a couple of weeks.  The in-laws and the hubby insisted I do the gun show.  They insist that women that go like to see things other than guns.  (NOT me!), well most times anyway.  I don't have a lot to take for a two day show, but I guess I can take orders if need be.

Hope you are having a great day.

Open

The barn is slowly getting more room.  We sold 16 bales of hay and then the hubby was happy to get his tractor back into the barn out of the elements.  I just knew, that we should of built him his barn first.  Hopefully, before the summer is out, he will have his very own barn for his engines, tractors, and work shop.   We bought a barn a few years ago and just haven't wanted to spend the money for the concrete to put it up, but this year hopefully things will work out and we can get it up.

The sun has been shining the last few days, but it has been pretty darn chilly.  Tomorrow it is supposed to be more cloudy and up in the low 50's.  It sure has been one crazy winter this year.  So far, I think the hubby is going to get his wish about an open winter.  Not really a lot of snow has fallen this year.  Usually by this time we have at least seen a foot of snow.

Went and got blood work done this morning, then went to look at new dish washers, then went and looked and stoves and refrigerators!  I have finally gotten tired of washing dishes by hand and I am ready to get a new washer, but now it is a matter of picking one out that hopefully, will last a little longer than the last one!

Hope you are having a great weekend.

Hobbies

This is just a small view of the newest engines.  The guys have defiantly taken up a new hobby and I sure as heck hope that it last long.  These babies take up a lot of room, especially when you have a dozen of them!  I really haven't kept count, but I do know... that it is not a cheap hobby!  The next purchase is the trailer to load all these babies on and take to show this summer.  Then, of course, we have to get a building erected so that they can be stored all together and out of the weather.  They do enjoy spending father and son time together though, and that is what counts.

I have been doing the same old stuff as I said in the last post.    I do the farm and weaving and the normal day to day running to keep the house hold going.   So, not a whole lot goes on around here.  Just keep going and living life as it comes.   Waiting for the winter to get over.  It will be nice to be outside without the fingers and the face freezing!

Hope you have had a good Friday.
