Trip home
Don't ask me where these were taken, I just know that they were taken some where in Maine. We decided to take the scenic route home Saturday being that is was raining and we really wouldn't be able to do too much at home when we did get there. So, instead of taking us 8 hours to get home it took us 10! We went through Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont and then New York. It was a great trip and very beautiful! Maine was hard to see some of the country, it is all trees!
Hope you had a good weekend and now I hope you have a great week.

Horses (Sunday Stills)
We have gotten nothing but rain the last few days and it is pretty darn muddy.
Annie and Sirocco not too happy with being in stalls, but it has been pretty darn wet and muddy and I thought I would bring them in to let their feet dry out! Hope you all are having a good weekend. I have lots of pictures from being gone last week. I will start posting tomorrow.

This and that
This is an old picture but we do have new bantam chicks. Not a whole lot to report as of today. I am still in Maine with the hubby doing some relaxation. I have been weaving, doing homework(summer class) and reading. We went out to a fabulous bar and grill, I had blackened chicken and alfredo, the hubby had tuna, rice, and beets. It was really good and the people here in Maine are some of the nicest people! Lots of trees, more than New York! I almost hate not being able to see some flat ground, all we have seen is trees, trees, and more trees.
Crystal, this next one is for you. The queen in the honey bee hive is larger than her worker bees, she is made by the worker bee egg and the worker bees feed her a special gel, when the hive gets too large they need another queen. I hope that answered your question, if not let me know.
Remember the contest goes on until next Friday! Good luck. Have a wonderful day.

A CONTEST!
These are the new towels that I am weaving, had to have something to do in the motel! I took a little table loom to weave on that would fit in the truck with everything else we had to take. I always seem to weave solid colors, this time I am doing blue and white with a twill pattern! Since I love my bloggers, I am going to do a contest where I need some ideas on color combinations to do, so starting today I going to take some suggestions and I will put everyone into a hat and who ever I pick, I will do their color combinations and they will get a free towel! The only catch is that you always show your towel to friends if you like it and let them know where you got it! The contest will last one week, next Friday I will do the drawing. Now remember it does take time to weave the towels, so it will be at least three weeks before you will receive your towel. I need to make sure I have a free loom and then I have to do set-up and then weave them! The color combinations you pick is what I will be weaving!
Hope you all have a wonderful day and good luck!

Honey Bee
The hubby bought two more hives for bees. We now have four hives. The original hive was making way too many queen bees. The hubby found it before the bees got ready to swarm. He had to move one of the queens into another hive and then had to get rid of the other queens before they hatched. If a hive has more than one queen the bees will swarm and that is why we had to get the extra queens out of the hive. The hubby has been doing pretty darn good with honey. We don't do anything with the honey except to extract it from the comb and put into jars. I know some people have expensive and special equipment to do their honey but we don't have the time or the money to get (special clean honey). It is pretty raw, and most people love it! We give it to family and friends! It goes pretty darn fast, we are actually on our last quart that we have been trying to hold onto for as long as we can.
Hope everyone is having a great week.

Tractor Day
I sold more of my towels, I just have to get my butt in gear and learn how to do a web site. Then I can sell some stuff on the web; but I think I will be doing a blog instead and just putting pay pal on it, in case anyone wants to buy stuff.
I am in Maine with the hubby and enjoying some alone time, I even brought the little table loom with us to get some weaving time in with no interruptions, and of course I have an online course that I am doing on top of that also. One thing that was different on the trip up to Maine was seeing the Moose crossing warning signs! Don't see those around where we are.
Hope you have a good week.

Old (new)
We traded the old truck that was the same year as our new one, but the old truck was all rusted out and we were putting buckets of money into it. We saw this truck going to town one day and the hubby stopped and looked at it and I want it. So we went and traded. We got a good trade. This 98 is 3500 diesel with no rust showing and has only 100,000 miles on it. We love it.
I am feeling a lot better, still can't hear worth a darn out of my ear and still have that pulsing sound. I am done with the antibiotics and now am taking strong sinus medicine that I had to actually ask for at the pharmacy counter to get it. It helps but I sure hope the infection goes away without having to get more drugs!
The hubby is going to Maine next week for work and decided to go with him for the week. I hope to be able to do some sight seeing. I will be taking the camera this time! Hope you are having a good weekend.
