Mudd anyone!

Not much going on at the farm.  Just trying to stay dry.  Been bringing the horses in a night just so they can get out of the wet and mud for a while.  I don't have the pasture ground to keep the livestock on, so they are fed hay year around and we use the remaining ground to make our hay on.  We plan to get the land surveyed so that we can put line fencing in and then cut the pastures up for the livestock after we get our first cutting of hay off the ground and then break the pastures up into section.  Around here it is not cheap to do that, but we will get it done.

We do have a repreve from the rain for today but back in tonight and into tomorrow and dry Sunday then showers for the next four days, not total wash outs but still enough to let the mud get even deeper.  But I have to say bring it on!  Anything is better than snow!!  Even though we did have flurries yesterday morning!  Hope you all have a great day.

My corrals are still muddy, but at least I have pasture for turn out. Have you thought about going with electric fence? It has a few advantages; its moveable and teaches the horses not to push on fences.

We are actually putting line fences in around the property then we do put electric in the middle to seperate the pastures that way we can take it down if need be!

Even Sirocco seems to be sick of the mud, too. Is that a sad face or what? Poor thing. hehe!
