Is That Me!?

Yes, that is I, up on Annie!  I don't take enough time to ride but I decided that this summer I was going to let some other things slide and make sure I take time to ride.  The big question is why have horses if you aren't going to ride them!   I sure could tell this morning  that I hadn't ridden in a while, I felt like my legs were going to fall off!

I hope you all had a great day and a wonderful holiday weekend.

This is the dam that holds the lake that we visit every year for a week.  The lake is Peck's.  We went up to the lake last week to take the cover to our boat up to get it fixed and stopped to see if we could get our boat ready for the holiday weekend.  So, we will be going out on the lake this weekend.

Hope you all had a great day.

Macro Monday

The peanes in the top picture, used to be out in the front of the house under the bushes and wasn't growing very much and never bloomed; we finally moved it to the side of the house next to the pond area and it is doing great and looks like we are going to get blooms!   The irises are multiplying all over the pond area!   Speaking about the pond we did get it up and going over the weekend and went and also got some gold fish to put into it.  Now I can sit out there and watch the hummers and listen to the frogs and watch things grow!  Hope you all had a great weekend.

Sunday Stills (color pink)

The top picture is my 38, I do have black grips for it also but I just happen to be a girl that does like pink.  So, when I bought the gun these grips were already on it and I kept them on.  The hubby thinks I am crazy but that is the way it goes!

Our bleeding hearts are still blooming and they sure are pretty!  Hope you all have a great day!

Yesterday we butchered one steer and then this morning we did the other.   So in a little over a week we will have some fresh beef in the freezer!  I can taste that steak now.  With the help of our tractor, it took the guy only about 2 hours to finish getting it ready to transport to his refrigerators.   We do the whole process here on the home place then he takes the rest and lets it hang in his refrigerators until it is time to do the cutting.  Works out great and less cost.

I finally have all my grades in.  I got a 3.86 GPA for this semester.  I had 4 A's and one B+!  I am on the Dean's List again.  Yippee, I tell you, I can't believe how much work it is to get those grades.  Now I can have a relaxing summer before it starts all over again.  Hope you all have a great weekend.

We are supposed to have all sunny days and up in the mid to high 70's into Sunday then the rain is supposed to start back up again on Monday!

We have geese show up every so often on the pond that is on both ours and our neighbors property!

The rain has been here for the last few days and we still have at least one more day of rain before it finally gives out to nice warm sunny days!   I have been pretty lazy the last few days trying to recoup from the school semester.  It has been nice not having to over use the brain!  I think I better get back to doing some much needed work on the farm before the hubby has me hanging by my thumbs for not doing anything!

I did make myself a list of what I wanted to accomplish over the summer though!  I quit though when the list kept getting longer and longer.  I decided I better start scratching somethings off the list before I get to far ahead of myself.   I don't want to defeat myself before I even start!

Hope you all have a great day.

Mothers day was a lovely day.  As you can see I did get some lovely flowers, the top flowers was from one of my favorite niece as some you know her, Liz!  Thank you, Liz, they are beautiful!   I got the petunias from my wonderful husband along with some mints and chocolates from my wonderful kids.   I sure hope all of you other mothers out there had a wonderful day.

I now have time to spend with blogging!  So, you will be seeing a little more blog posts from me.  I am finally done with school and I will let you all know what my grades were as soon as I know!  I sure hope I can at least keep my grade point average the same!

Hope you all have a wonderful day!

I don't remember when; but the hubby was out walking in our woods and happened upon this tree,  he smelled the honey first; then he heard the bees.  He left them alone, but then this past weekend wanted  to go out and see if we could find them again and mark the tree, because he found out that if someone happens upon the bees then they can claim the bees rather if they are on our property or not.

We did get new bees last weekend.  We did end up putting them closer to the house.  Hopefully it won't be an issue.  We shall see.  If you don't hear from me I ran for the hills and will be back when they leave ;)

One more day of school and then it will be vacation time!!!!  I can't wait to get to work then!

Have a great evening.

They have come a long way in just a week.  Nice to see that things are a blooming now.  I better get some cleaning done so I can start getting ready to purchase some flowers for out in the garden pond area and around the house.  Can never have to many pretty flowers!

Hope you all had a great day.  I am now counting down the days until school is done!!

Been raining all day here and the river is high.   Streams are high and some water a laying in the yards of some houses!  More rain tonight into tomorrow also!  I have a feeling that the rain isn't going to go to far away for a while!

Our home

Nothing exciting to post so I thought I would post a more recent picture of the home place.
I did finish my English Essays, I was up until midnight but I did get them done and sent to the Professor.   I couldn't believe how much of a relief that was!   Just one more week of school and I can really relax for the summer!  How you writers can get your thoughts down on paper is way beyond me!  I am glad that I don't want to be a book writer that is for sure!
Our honey bees didn't make it through the winter but we did order another hive and we go pick them up tonight.  Which still makes us in the honey making business!  The hubby wants to move them closer to the house so that they can be sheltered more but I really don't like that idea at all.  So, now I am trying to brain storm on where to put them so that the hubby and I can both be happy!
Hope you all have a great afternoon!
