??????

It is a picture of the moon that is being over cast with clouds.  I can't take moon pictures worth a darn!

Went and purchased my books for my last semester of school.  I am actually looking forward to being done with school.  I have enjoyed learning but my brain says that is needs a break, especially once I get done with Biology!   I read what the professor has outlined for us and took a look at some of the book and I am not looking forward to this class at all!!  I have it from 5 to 9 at night on Tuesday night and I am so NOT looking forward to it!

I put up another 22 quarts of tomatoes yesterday.  We now have 44 quarts of tomatoes for the winter.  I still have at least another bushel on order.  We didn't get our garden in again this year, so we went to the local produce barn and bought tomatoes to put up, along with some cabbage.

Hope everyone has a wonderful day.

Hops

The pictures are of the hops that the hubby planted in pots and left by our strawberry arbor (that didn't produce strawberries!)

I have been pretty busy for the last week.  I canned tomatoes, helped the hubby put up cabbage to make sauerkraut.  Have been getting ready for school next week, the son and I.  We are getting ready to add a couple more critters to the farm.   We are getting a miniature mule and a pony, from a couple that had to get rid of all their animals because of having to move.   They are in pretty bad condition, and it will be a chore getting them to the way I think that they should be.   I really had some misgivings about getting more animals but the hubby talked me into it.

Just one more semester and I will be getting my associates degree in Business Administration.  I have my mother in law and aunt telling me that I should go further in my schooling.  I am still undecided.

I finished my table runner and I will have pictures to show soon.  I still have towels and rag rugs to get woven.   I will be working on the towels now and hopefully get some ready for my client and of course to send out to Linda for winning the contest.   I will have to learn to let everything else go and work when I get the weaving business up and going.  I have been slacking, to get other things done, like school and summer things done.  I have to learn to go out to the barn when coffee is done and not leave until the weaving is done for the day.  Treat it like I am going to work at a real job!  I don't consider my weaving a job but as something that I love doing on the side.  That will have to change if I really want to get more business and make a living at it or try making a living at it.

Hope you all have a wonderful evening.

A Froggie Day

Spent most of the day weaving.  I did sit by the pond for a short period of time this morning and I am headed back out to sit this evening with a glass of wine.  Wish you could come over, but I will make a toast to all my favorite bloggers!

Have a wonderful evening!  P.S. click on the bottom picture and tell me how many frogs you see.  You are only going to see a quarter of the number of frogs that I actually have!

Sky

We went to the Woodsman's Field Days on Saturday, saw lots of wood things that would look great in my dream log home.  I could of spent lots of money just on new furnishings for the house, like a log bed, end tables and so forth.   The hubby just sort of looked at me and thought NO WAY!  A girl can wish can't she?

Went to get my son's and my books for college, he was able to get his and I had to wait because I forgot to do my fasfa for the year.  I did not have to do one last year but I did this year.  I was not a happy camper!  I have just one more week after this and the semester starts.  I am so glad that this is the last semester.  I don't think I will be going for a bachelor's degree.  I told the hubby if I work at the weaving and the farm, I don't need to go farther, but if he wants me to get a real job (9-5) then I want to go farther in my degree.

I would love to be able to get the weaving up and going.  So, we shall see if I can get the business up and going.

Have a great week.

Sunday Stills (motorcycles)

It is hard to get motorcycle pictures, because no one in our family owns one.  We did go to the Woodsmens Field Days yesterday and on our way out to the truck, I was able to get a quick snap shot of a couple of neat ones.   On our way out of town we just happened to drive by a line of them, also.

Hope you all have a wonderful day.

Ice Cream

We went to our local Antique shop and bought an ice cream maker.  It sure makes fantastic ice cream but it takes forever.......!   I guess good things comes to those who wait.

I have been lax in blogging again.  I am down in NJ again, cleaning house and doing some weaving while I am down here.  I have just a couple of weeks and it will be back to school again.  Not a whole lot going on around here.  I pretty much do the same thing day in and day out.  I put a towel warp on one of my floor looms and will be doing different towels soon.  I am going to make the color combinations that everyone sent in when I did the contest.  I will be weaving those on the small loom that sits on the table.

Hope you all had a good week and like they all say TGIF!  Have a great weekend.

Table Runner

This is the table runner that I am weaving for my dentist.  It is really pretty.  So, now I have two project going and ready.  I still have one more warp to put on then I will have four looms up and ready.

It is raining, which is good.  We first get rain that doesn't stop and then we get a dry spell and now that we need rain we are getting it.  Hopefully it knows how to stop.

Have a wonderful day.

This is the Life!

I went to a wonderful friends house yesterday to spend the afternoon weaving.  I had my table top loom out on her deck to weave and she had her floor loom inside her lovely little building that she goes to weave on at the top of the mountain.  They also have what they call their glass house, and it is a little building with all windows and you get a lovely view.   When we were done weaving for the afternoon, her husband was wonderful enough to fix us a lovely dinner and bring it up to us in the glass house and we had a cucumber tasting (several varieties), a wonderful salad with all the fixings, that he grew in his garden, then we had linguine with basil pesto that he made from fresh basil out of his garden, with sausage; then we had cheese, wine and hummus.  It was a five star dinner in a wonderful setting that beats any restaurant view, that I have been in.  The first pictures of course, are of me weaving and Linda, over at Life on a Colorado Farm, won the towels that I am weaving right now.  The last two photos are of the view that I had while weaving, it was just wonderful!  Thank you Bob and Janet for a lovely day! (you can click on the pictures to get a better view)

Have a wonderful day!

The place has gone to the cows

The hubby is in Florida and hates the hot, humid weather.  He asked me the other day how the calves were doing.   I decided that I would post a picture of the bigger steers for him.  The steers look like twins!

I have been pretty busy getting looms set-up and ready for projects.  I now have the table top loom ready, the rag rug loom is ready, and the other two looms I have to get set-up for the warp of table runners and towels.  I am going to a friends house this afternoon and she has a wonderful little building that she has set-up on her little mountain and she weaves up there every summer.   I am taking my little table top loom to weave with her today and I will be staying for dinner.  I am so excited, it will be wonderful to weave outside in the nice sunny weather.   It is supposed to be in the middle 70's today and sunny.   I will be taking pictures of the wonderful view that she has.

Have a wonderful day!

Sunday Stills (Chains)

My gold chain with a gold nugget that we panned for.
Tire chains for the Case that the hubby decided didn't need to be put away.
Chain that always stays on the tractor for multiple reasons, like picking up the end of farm equipment that has no jack.
Chain on the pasture gate.  Can't have those animals getting out.

Taken Over

The Black-eyed Susan's are taking over.  On the right of the picture is the first clump of Susan's that we planted and mind you, it was just half of that clump.  It wants to take over the whole garden pond area.  I keep taking the round-up out and trying to kill them.  I even go around trying to pull them all out.  Now we have the lilies that are trying to take over also.  I give-up, they can have the garden.

I have been busy working on getting three new projects on looms.  I have done all the warps, and now I have the rug loom ready to go and today I will be putting on a small warp of towels on my little table top loom, then I have the loom for table runners, and a floor loom for more towels.  Did I say I was busy? Not only that, then I have the regular day to day chores and miscellaneous things that need to get done, also.  Not enough hours in a day, that is for sure.  Hope you had a good week.

Have a wonderful weekend!  TGIF!
