Inflight

When I was out taking my relaxing afternoon break I happened to see this lovely bird go flying by me and I was surprised to see it and I was in a hurry to get the pictures that I unfortunately was not prepared to get better pictures.  We had to do some guessing on what kind of bird it is and even emailed the pictures to the hubbies sister.  We finally decided it was a Harrier Hawk.  I hope that I spelled that correctly.   It was pretty amazing to see it.  I kept telling myself it was not a gull of some kind and I was right.  I am just getting to know some of my birds.   I was even able to see a Red breasted Grosbeak at our feeder one morning and those are rare to see!

Hope you all have a great day.

Great capture, even if you weren't as prepared as you'd like.

Oooh! Lucky capture! Nice job! It's fun to go bird watching and recognize which birds you are seeing. Keep a record of them, too. :)
