Mmmmm Honey!

We had three hives of bees last year and this year we are down to one.  The one bee hive had lots of honey in it.  The boys were munching on the honey that we took out of the dead hive box.    As you can see the guys weren't worried about dirty hands.

Hope you all have a wonderful day.

What happened to the hives, was it too cold? I know nothing about bee keeping.

I helped my granddad "rob the bees" one summer when i was about 13. Great experience. Local honey is so good for you. How wonderful you can raise your own.

Hi Lisa, Our Bee Man trades me oranges for honey, I think I get the best of that deal, honeys a lot of work. He was saying here in CA. that a lot of the bees died because of the freezing. I know that half of the hives he had here on our place died.
