Destructive

Yes, this is a wood chuck that was around 10 to 15 yards away from the back deck of the house down in NJ. I really saw some neat stuff last week when I was down there. I guess, being that it is summer, the critters are coming out more now. Except for their ugly tail the woodchuck is rather a cute looking thing.

Well the hubby is off to North Carolina for two weeks and won't be back until the fourth of July. I am hoping that the job he is on is finished by then and he will be coming home rather than just coming back for a visit. I don't mind him being gone for a week and home on weekends but I sure hate it when he is gone longer than that. What makes it even worse is the son is leaving next week on Tuesday and won't be back for 22 days as you all know already. So both of my men will be gone. Oh well, good thing I am not a prissy kind of gal!

You all have a great day.

I was getting ready to get out the 410 and shoot that thing, until I heard it was in New Jersey. I haven't seen the ones we had around here lately, but that doesn't mean they are gone, just that the garden is gone. Mom

Well, all our tree squirrels have died and we are left only with ground squirrels who look kind of like this woodchuck. I found the tree squirrels entertaining. The ground squirrels not so much. They like to eat garden plants.

You're going to have a long stretch on your own! I hope it passes quickly for you and you'll soon be welcoming them home.

Safe journey for your men, and I guess you'll just have to sit 'n' spin while they're gone!

My gophers don't look so big now.
The time will go fast and your men will be home before you know it. I like time to myself, I get a lot of what I want done....and no cooking.
