Here are a few more pictures taken on our road trip Sunday. If you don't know these are the Adirondack Mountains. The Adirondack Park is about 6.1 million acres here in New York. There are no marked boundaries or gate or any fees to enter the park. The Adirondack Park is larger than Yellowstone, Yosemite, Glacier, Grand Canyon and the Great Smokies combined. It is the largest wilderness area east of the Mississippi. 42 percent of the park is protected by the state constitution as forever wild, which is 2.6 million acres.
Hope you all had a great day.

That's so great they are protecting it, and even better no fees to use it. I watched a show the other day and they were searching for Sasquatches there, but didn't realize how big it really is.
WOW !!! Had No Idea How Big it Was.

Night Time Photography in a nutshell.

Shutter Speed 2 seconds
Use a tripod or support your camera on a rock..fence post etc..
Release shutter gently to avoid camera shake. Increase shutter speed to 3 seconds or 4 seconds if you did not like the results of the first setting...experiment!! :)

Shirley, Yes, they do allow horseback riding, there is actually around 65 acres of land that can be ridden on.
I'm a native of "two-seasons" land - brown and green (Florida). I did live in Syracuse for a year and your pictures reminded me how beautiful the area is. Thank you!
