Dryer!

We have a very wet basement. The hubby and son put in a new hole for the septic pump.  Last weekend they dug a trench from the pump to the wet area's of the basement then put in tubing that had drain holes and put it going to the pump and now we will have a lot dryer basement.   They did the digging by hand and Kegan did the mixing of the cement and poured on top of the tubing.  They worked pretty darn hard and took them all day to accomplish it.   A few months ago the son emptied the basement out so that they could work on the basement and now the hubby is working on putting some cupboards in for my canning jars.

Hope you have a wonderful week.

Looks like an awful job, but I bet you will be a lot warmer when the snows come and the basement is dry!

I need to do something similar... I call out basement the dungeon or swamp... both are too fitting and I would no way take a picture of it and post it!

Looks like you have one of those old farm houses that was built before they knew the value of sump pumps. Lots of work to do that but well worth it!
