Cleaning day!

Yesterday was clean the cow shed.   Took the hubby a little time to get halters on the big guys and then he was all set.  He took them to the horse stalls while he cleaned.   They are weighing pretty good, one is a little over 800 lbs and the other is over 900 lbs.  Hopefully later in the fall they will be ready to put in our freezer.  They are looking pretty darn good, their winter coats are shedding and they are slicking up good.

Went to see Sirocco and the trainer said that he put a hose to him after he road him and he didn't do bad with the hose (Shock)!  He told me that he just needs a firm hand and he just didn't know what to do when someone tries to steer him.  He will be working on that now.  He said he got in the saddle and he wouldn't move, he would kick and he would just stand in place.   I couldn't believe how much he has mellowed out already just from being handled by someone who is not a push over! (like me)

It was a beautiful day, in the 80's, which I will not complain about!  Hope you have a great week.

I'm looking forward to a day or many in the 80s. Raining here and cold. But at least it isn't snow or sleet. We had those earlier.

I'd forgotten the hose trick... really sacks one out, especially on a hot day.. then find out it is nice....
