Hot and Humid

It has been up in the high 80's and low 90's with the temps going up to 98 today. One thing good about the North east is usually the hot weather doesn't last for too long before it does go down to manageable temps. You notice I said usually, with the way things have been this year with Mother Nature we won't presume anything at this point! I think I feel worse for the animals that have to be out in it.

Not much has been going on. We have the garden ready to plant and will be putting in some plants this weekend. I have tons of things left in the freezer from last year. (the hubby made sure we had plenty) I told him this year we only need a few things and the rest will be planted to enjoy eating during the summer months, like peppers and broccoli and cauliflower etc. I do have to can the tomatoes and pickle beets this year though and there is always things I end up freezing or canning as I can't let things just rot on the vines, of course. (we all know we will end up planting more than we need).

Lets see, I also bought another loom (like I needed another one!) I will be posting pictures once I start weaving something on it. I am selling one too, so that really makes up for buying the new loom (I think).

Hope you all have a great day!

The cold weather is coming..it is 30 degrees cooler here now..we are to have a high of 66 today and 56 tomorrow. I think I will take cool over that heat..we had way over 90 degrees ( someone said 98 but I didn't see that here), that usually doesn't happen here till August.
That earthquake that shifted the earths axis must be to blame..who knows..weird weather for sure:(

Connie,
I don't mind the heat. The hubby hates the hot weather.

I have heard that this summer is supposed to be hotter than usual, with more rain in the prairies than normal- that's for Canada, don't know about your forecast but it sure does seem to be a whacky year for weather.

Hi Lisa, the sunset shot is great....
I remember the post you did when you refinished you living room it turned our really nice. I have most of my garden in, the bedding plants not the seeds. It finely warmed up here this week in the 80s and next week 90s. The valley gets real humid but it's cooler up here in the foothills. Like your new header.

Shirley,
Yes, I think we are in for a hot one this year!

Linda,
Thank you, the sunset was pretty the other night. Thats one thing nice about this time of year and that is the sunsets!

Lisa,
It sure is, and I think yours is too!

Sam,
Pine is pretty but it is pretty soft wood and I wish we would of put more coats of poly on it but that is ok. It was time to change the header and thank you.
