Well, Friday is the day the daughter has move in day at the college up north and it will be her first time being away from home for any extended period of time! We will miss her but I think she will be missing the boyfriend and the girlfriend more than mom and dad! I will miss her but I have to say it will be nice to be down to just one kid in the house for a while.
I start school the seventh of September and I am looking forward to it but I know I will be nervous the first day, of course. I am ready for it though, I have my books and school I D and parking permit and my brain is another story, I don't know if that is ready yet, but I sure will let you know!! I have had lots of second thoughts about going I tell you but in the long run it will be good to use the old noggin again.
We are off to Illinois Friday after we drop the daughter off at school. We are making a hurried trip out home because it has been a few years since I have been back and I didn't want to wait another year because next year we have some awesome plans for travel. Our 25th wedding anniversary is next year and I told the hubby I wanted to go west and we are going to meet one of my favorite bloggers and visit his part of the country for a couple of weeks! I will take lots of pictures when I go home this next week and if I can get next to a computer in that time I will try to post but if not I will post the rest of this week then it might be few days before I get another post up.
Hope you all have a great day.

Do you ever get the "back to school" nightmares? I still do! Even our interium principal still gets them and he's RETIRED. (My school doesn't have a principal yet, so they brought him in...) Sending our kids to college was...fearful!
Have fun on your trip! I know your daughter will love college once she adjusts to being away from home. It's hard for some at first. Going back to school is a wonderful thing to do. You'll find you'll do better than the younger students. Love your header photo.
All the best in your return to school.....I wouldn't want to be in your shoes but then I never was that fond of school.
Have a safe trip- and you'll ace school.
You are so brave! I would like to go back to college, but there is nothing close so it would be a real challenge. But I am looking at taking a few weekend classes.
Thank you, ladies for your lovely comments! I am looking forward to school, never thought I would being as I hated school before but now it is different and I am looking forward to learning and using this brain!
I wish your daughter the best of luck at school.. and you too! I know you are going to do just fine! I loved it when I went back and wish I was still there as I had a blast and learned so much!
Have a safe trip:)
