The Mighty Mississippi

This is the Mississippi River at outlook point in the state park at Savanna , Illinois.   We took the son's best friend with us this time and one of the best things is to go look at the river from the park.

We had a great time, visited with the family and friends that we haven't seen in four years and it was a short trip but was very nice. Only one day of rain and two very hot days in the 90's but we survived and the sun was shining and that is always good because now we are back to the rains and watching out for more flooding which is not very good. Hope you all had a great weekend and I have more pictures for you. So until then have a great day!

I can see why they call it the mighty Mississippi. Were these taken on a rainy day or is that smog?

Thank you all for your comments. Shirley it was so humid and hot that my camera fogged up before I could take the first shot.
