Pond Animal

It is that time of year where we have the pond up and running.  We bought the plants and gold  fish for the pond area.  It is so nice to be able to sit with my beer or wine and just relax.  The frogs had made it to the pond before we even had the pumps back in and running, I told the hubby it was time to get it running if the frogs were back.

The hubby came home last night and had to take the new truck out for a drive and he was happy I bought it.  I will take pictures today and post them.  It isn't beautiful, yet, but once we have it restored it will be!  I even had custom license plates ordered for it!  I drove it yesterday to go and pick up our beef and boy is that a truck, not like the way they are made now days that is for sure!

Other than that not a whole lot is going on here on the farm, the animals are all doing great and I have been riding more, I have to get my riding skills up so when we go visiting one of my favorite ranchers I won't look to much like a beginner.  I know that is impossible being as I will be with someone that makes his living on the back of a horse but I know he will make allowances for us greenhorns!  I might even come home with some new skills like having an idea on how to throw a rope.

Hope you all have a great day!

We are so dry we only ever get just toads. Seeing your critters are fun for me!

Toads only here as well....

Can't wait to see the pics of the '79 - Dad had a '79 F150 that I remember well. Some not so good memories, tho, the 302 it came with was pretty much defective from day one.

Oh I love a pond! And with frogs, too! We have desert toads that only come out from under the ground after it rains hard, but otherwise, no frogs. Just too dry. We do have a pond, but only our goldfish live in it.
Lucky you on the new 'old' truck! I love old trucks, but like 'em even older. My favorite is the 58 Chevy Apache, but just about any truck made in the 50's makes me swoon!
Gangsters in ABQ like to buy them up, give them a fancy paint job with flames and crap (I prefer the old colors better), and stick little tires on them, and then cruise around the city. I hate it. Destroys the original vintage look. :(
