Mine Field

This is what you call the horse mine field!  It is ground that was soft and the horses punched it all into lumpy mounds and then the ground froze.  Now the horses walk around like they are about to step on a mine.  It gets hard to find spots to feed them so that they aren't having to walk so carefully.  Hard to do.

It was down to nine degrees this morning and a high of about 24.  Then, of course, the weather man is calling for in the upper thirties for a couple of days then back down in the twenties for the next week and beyond.  I have been waiting for it to get cold.

Went grocery shopping and went to Home Depot to pick up some filters for the water system.  We have a lot of sulfur and deposits in our water, so we try to keep filters on the water to prevent some of the nasty crud from getting into our drinking water.   It works pretty darn good along with the water softener on top of the filters.

Went out to the barn and did some weaving also, I now have three towels done.  They are going to be face towels.  I need to get a table runner done; for a fund raiser for women of domestic violence.  The college does a skit every year and then they have a silent auction and I donate some hand woven things for them.  Last year it was a towel and table runner and I think I will do the same for this year.

Hope you all had a great Friday.

That's what I had before the snow hit and leveled things out. Do we get to see pics of the towels and table runner?
