Pile it up

Now that the wood shed is just about empty, it is time to fill it up again for next winter.   We had one load delivered and we will have at least another one delivered in the next month or so.   Work is never done.

Not a whole lot going on.  The weather has still been improving, the snow didn't last a day.   That is one thing about this time of winter, any snow that falls usually doesn't last long.   We have been having anywhere from 50 to 70 degree weather.   I am not going to complain too much.   I am glad just to see the warmer weather.
Hope you have a great weekend.

At least you have a few months to get all the bucking and splitting done!

Wow. This is a load of logs! Here we have 2 options - go out to the woods and haul the logs yourself (pine only) or pay a premium price to have hardwood hauled, already cut, from down the hill.

We really ought to burn more. Looks like you've a summer of work ahead! ;)

Good looking load of work! I suppose wood is getting more expensive too. We used to have a semi load delivered every 2 years..$650 a mix of pine, birch and oak. With that and our dead and down oak we could heat for two years. Now we just pay the propane bill, although it wasn't as bad as we feared.
We are finally going to get some warmer weather maybe Sunday:)
