Not so, Wordless Wednesday

The hubby said I needed to take a picture of the moon, but as you can see, not such a great picture.  More snow fell last night another 3-4 inches and now they are calling for rain or sleet on top of that and 40 degree weather.  How crazy is that!

Sorry about the posts, I say I will do better then I get lax again, of course same excuse, school takes up all my time.  I am going to a seminar for Phi Theta Kappa this weekend gone Friday and Saturday will be hope late Saturday night.  I am actually looking forward to some quite and no pressure time!  I am only taking the computer with me and that is it.  (not really, I can't leave the school books)  I am running all A's so far in school.

The new baby calf is doing great, the next step is bucket breaking him, he is still on the bottle but this weekend hopefully that will change.  I leave that chore to the hubby, he is so good at it!

The hubby found that he has arthritis in his back and that the bulging discs aren't really that bad, they recommend physical therapy and shots.  (SHOTS) oh lovely!  I have to say that is better than having surgery!

How does everyone think about the immigrants being let loose and to just save money because they aren't going to have the government workers to take care of them.  I think what is next is maybe letting all the criminals loose too! Oh wait, they already are!

Have a great day.

Snow Cover

It snowed last night on the way to school and was a nasty ride home, slushy, which is worse than plain snow.   Try driving in slush that likes to throw you all over the road.  Of course then the wind decided that it needed to blow.  It was sunny this morning and not really all that much snow fell last night, but it was wicked windy and chilly.  Did I tell you that I really hate winter, about the time that the end of February hits!

The new calf is doing great, along with all the farm animals.  Other than that not much else is happening on the farm.  School is going fine so far, first test was an A and I have another one this Friday and then one Tuesday of next week.  I got up this morning not really wanting to go to school at 7 am and do step aerobics first thing in the morning, too much moving for me first thing in the morning. BUT I did it.

Did I tell you that I have more weaving work to do.  I have about four rag rugs to do now.  I will be busy this summer that is for sure.  I am glad.  I love to weave for people that appreciate something that is done by hand and not mass produced.

Hope you are having a good week.

Nose

Miss Annie, getting a little nosy, or is it Sirocco?  I can't lie, it is Annie, she usually doesn't get too close to the camera but I didn't give her much of a choice this time!  Hope you all are having a great day.

It is snowing here as of now, and I still have classes tonight, ugh!  Have a good one.

New Baby

Isn't he cute?!  He is our new calf, he is a week old and he is a Holstein, Hereford cross!  I named him T-Bone and I bet you know why!   He is the first real calf that we have had in a long time that has had some of the right breeding for beef!   I think we have a new place to buy or steers from or soon to be steer!

It was a cold day today, but the sun is still shining and that sure is nice to see!  Hope you all had a great weekend and I hated to see it end.  But of course there are ones that don't know what a weekend is, because a farmer and rancher never has a weekend unless of course they are lucky enough to have workers to take over for a day or kids to do the work (like I do).

Hope every ones week turns out good.  I had no school today which was nice.

Thank God its Friday!

It sure has been nice seeing the sun!  The bad part about winter is the days get short and we don't get nearly enough sun.  Then it has to be cloudy and that sure doesn't help anyone with having any energy to do much of anything.  Lately it has been sunny and I have actually felt like doing something.  It has been pretty darn warm for the last few days and the snow is starting to melt, just in time for it to snow again!

I had my first test and got a B on it.  I have another one next week.   School is going pretty darn good.  I have been doing step aerobics and I have been feeling a lot better with doing  extra exercise.  I am going to a seminar for the Phi Theta Kappa in a couple of weeks, that will be pretty darn nice, being as I don't have to pay for anything.  If I decide to go to another college I will be able to get around 7,000 dollars off tuition for being in the honor society and having above a 3.8 average.  The only thing I have to do is keep it above that and I will be ok.

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend.

Happy Valentines Day!

Happy Valentines Day, to all my bloggers, but especially to my wonderful husband!  I love him dearly and he sure works hard to take care of his family.  Thank you, darlin!

Hope you all have a wonderful day.  The sun is shining and it is reasonably warm outside.  Even though I spent most of my day inside reading homework and trying to get most of it done before the weekend.

Not much else going on, the hubby gets upset with me when I don't blog and I am going to try to blog more often if possible.  So, I might repeat myself and be boring but bare with me and I will try to post new things.  Even though not much is going on.

I did see on the news this morning where lovely O'bama wants to cut agriculture subsidies.  Now if that just  doesn't piss me off.  I wonder what the country will do when the farms and ranches go out of business and they have to pay for all our stuff out of the country?  Hmmm, we could be finding out.  NOT!

On a good note, have a wonderful evening.

Nothing Much

Not much going on.  We did get nine inches of snow on Saturday and freezing rain today.  But the temps did get up to the 40's which is going to let the snow melt fairly quickly.  We are supposed to get snow flurries but then get up in the 30's most of the week.  Not bad for the Northeast!   I still am glad that I don't live up in Canada where they get some pretty darn nasty weather.  (Linda will tell you)

Took my first test today, and I know I did get a couple of answers wrong, I hate taking the first set of tests.  I realize that I really need to study a little more often and not try to cram everything into two days.  My memory sure isn't all that good.  Anyone got some good pointers on how to retain information you receive and learn? I think that is the hardest part, and that  is retaining what I have learned, I seem to have to read and read things, over and over, before I can remember it.  I tell you, reading these chapters are painful,  seems like the chapter is going to last forever!

Well, I hope you all are have a good week. Not a whole lot of exciting things to report on this end of the world.  I pretty much go to school, do chores and take care of the family, pretty boring really!  Oh, I do try to get out and weave but then again that doesn't happen as often as I would like.  Take care and be safe!

Feathered Friends

Getting ready for the snow fall tonight.  Got to get enough feed to last.

I don't know if the rest of us are ready though.  I am actually looking forward to having the ground covered again and I am glad that it is happening on the weekend instead of during the week.  Now I don't have to travel if I don't have too!

The hubby found out that he has three bulging discs in his back.  He goes to a specialists on the 22nd and find out what his options are.  Then on the 25th he goes in to have his colonoscopy done.  He goes, he goes all at once!  The bulging discs are what we are concerned with.  I did look it up and there are all sorts of things that can be done and some of them is without surgery.  So, wish us luck and hopefully it can be taken care of without surgery.

Hope you all have a good weekend.  Stay dry and hopefully you don't have to do any snow shoveling!

Mooo

The steers are getting up there, only a couple more months and they will be in the freezer.  I need to get some old stuff out of the freezers and make room for new.

We are expecting our first major snow storm tomorrow, around 8 to 12 inches and the mountains might get more.  I just wish it was coming tonight therefore I could have an extra day off school!  I believe that I am looking forward to being done with school.  I am seriously thinking that maybe going farther is not what I want to do or either that I will be doing it via Internet rather than going to a school physically.

Hope everyone is doing good, I will try to catch up with what all my bloggers are doing.  I have been pretty darn lax lately.  You will have to forgive me.  Hopefully I start to blog a little more often.  The hubby keeps telling me that I haven't blogged, I need to blog, yada, yada, yada.  I KNOW!

Have a great day everyone.

Monday Stills (fabrics)

Cow colored cotton, leather covered couch, wool blanket throw, cotton table runner (handwoven by me).  I was too lazy yesterday to do Sunday stills, so I decided that I would do it today.  I should of went out to the barn and taken pictures of the new face towels that I am weaving, but decided that I would leave those as a surprise until they are done.

Hubby went to the hospital and had a MRI done on his back, hoping it is not a bad disc or something that will require surgery, hopefully by the end of the week we will know what is wrong.  He has had some major back pain for the last month where it has been really bad, but it actually has been bothering him for over 6 months.

School so far, is going good, I am doing step aerobics and hoping to get into shape!  I have been feeling pretty lazy since the surgery on the arm, and need to get back into the swing of things, and hopefully get to feeling a little more energized!

Hope you all have a good day.

Food

What do you want?  Just dump my food and leave me in peace!

Sirocco,  you have to look at me first before I leave you any food!  Well, if you insist, now just do it and leave!

Such love in the air!

Hope you all had a wonderful day!
