Garden and Cows

The first things picked this year in the garden, cilantro, radishes, and green onions.  The strawberries are also, doing well.  I picked the first quart this year.   I did have some interesting fun while picking things in the garden.  I was happily weeding the garden, and I look up, what do I see?

I see the cow go romping by me in the house yard, WHAT THE ..............!  Yes, he escaped his pen.   Boy was that fun trying to round up a cow with no help in sight.  I was wondering what the blank, blank, blank was I going to do.  I go get his halter, and get it on him and try leading him to the corral (not going to happen).  I see that the neighbor is out mowing his lawn, I go and ask for his assistance (gladly he says).  We proceed over to Curly (the bad cow), the neighbor leads while I put a bucket of grain under his nose and take him over to the corral.  Now if any of you have cows you know how easy that was (NOT).   Needless to say, by the time the son got home and we had his pen back up to snuff it was well past nine in the evening.  I never thought the garden and cows went together, but hey, what do I know!

Hope your week is going well!

Cattle like some freedom and hate going back in the pasture. Your garden produce looks great! :)
