Happy Birthday
Today is my daughters 24th birthday. We are very blessed to have two wonderful children. She has accomplished getting a bachelors degree in psychology and she has been working since she has gotten out of high school. We wish her the best of luck.
In just 20 days our son will be having his 20th birthday. They sure have grown up fast, and we wonder where the time has gone!
We love you and hope you have a long and happy life!

Gloomy
It pretty much rained all day and had a couple of good thunderstorms. It was one of those days you want to stay in and just read a book. I had to take both the car and truck and get the oil changed, along with taking the son's car over to have it looked over. He had an accident that did some damage to his car but thank goodness it was minor stuff and no one else was involved and he wasn't hurt. He was still able to drive it home with no problem. Most of the damage was just bodywork! He is more upset with himself and the damage he did to his precious car! He was pretty darn proud of buying his own car.
Not much else is going on. The critters are all the same and everyone is reasonably healthy. Jake had a allergic reaction to a flea and tic tag that I bought, now I have to give him a bath twice a week and give him some antibiotics for 14 days. His hair started to fall out under his neck. Trials and tribulations of having animals to care for.
Hope you have a great week.

Gobble
The turkeys are enjoying being outside. Now all we have to do is get one made for the chickens.
Not much going on, I put some weed killer on the garden, did some weed eating out in the garden area and around the house. I could weed eat until dooms day and still have lots of weed eating to do! I guess I am just to darn picky. (I just don't do it all and let the weeds take over )
The last couple days have been pretty darn nice. Not too hot and not too humid! Started to clean out the house and I have one room pretty much done and just have 6 more to go! I will get it done! (eventually)
Hope you have a great weekend!

The garden is doing great. I picked my first batch of green beans and froze them. I also froze some broccoli and cauliflower. I even had a couple of green peppers! It has been a couple of years since we had a garden and it is nice to have it back this year. Hopefully the tomatoes don't get the blight disease. I have been spraying them to hopefully prevent them from getting it.
Hope you are having a great week.

Flying again
The loon.
The heron
New ducks
We got home and decided that the new turkeys had to have a pen, so that they could go outside and eat some of our grass and weeds down. They are getting too big for the poultry house and needed to have a little more breathing room. Maybe the chickens will get a new chicken yard also next weekend.
I will be catching up on gardening and weeding the garden. I am also going to start going through the house and getting rid of junk that we don't need, and having a garage sale when I am done. I will be stacking everything in the barn until I am done going through the house. Of course, I will be trying to get the pond area done (which is going very slowly). I will also be doing some weaving, if I can get away from the farm long enough. I am also in the process of working with Sirocco and my fear of him. I am going to do some riding on a different horse while Brian rides Sirocco and shows me how well Sirocco is coming along and that now is the time to work on my relationship with sirocco.
As you can see, the rest of my summer is going to be very busy! What vacation........ I think I have already forgotten that I took one!
Have a great week. Please click on the pictures and you will get a much better view!

An Eagle!
Vacation was one to take lots of bird pictures. We had rain just about half of the time that we were there but it was not a total wash out. Weather was a little chillier than I like but that wasn't all that bad either. So, I guess all and all vacation was a success! I always miss the lake but it is very nice to get back to home and the normal day to day things that involve the farm. I will have more lake pictures. We got home and decided that the new turkeys had to have a pen, so that they could go outside and eat some of our grass and weeds down. Friends
Awe, isn't that sweet? Jake loves to play with cats, that is if they like him! We have a new cat, her name is Leia, and she is a Mainecoon. (I still have my doubts but we shall see.) My daughter saw the ad on facebook. I have wanted a Mainecoon for quite some time, after I had seen one that my friend had! She is 6 months old and is the size of my other house cat that is around 5 years old already! She is a talker, which can be a pain, but she is a sweetheart.
It is going to be a busy week. Getting ready for camp next week. We are all excited about that. One of the greatest thing we look forward to all year. I won't be blogging that week, seems that when I try to schedule blog posts ahead of time, they don't seem to post for me. So, I will have to catch you up the following week.
Hope you have a great day!

Happy Birthday to my wonderful husband!
I hope everyone had a lovely 4th of July! We had a pretty easy and relaxing weekend. We did a BBQ for Peck's Lake again Saturday, it was a success. One bad aspect of it was that my beans did not get done all the way and they were crunchy whether than being soft! I was really disappointed in that, but it is a lesson learned and hopefully it doesn't happen again. The meat was great and that made up for it!
Today is the hubbies birthday, and I posted flowers just for him! He does love the flowers that grow in the pond area. Love you honey, and Happy Birthday to you!! He is the light of my life and I sure would be lost without him.
Hope you have a great week!
