sunsets

The other night, we had a fabulous sunset.  It was so nice, we had tons of people from this area posting it on facebook.  I thought I would wait until tonight to post it, and I thought my blog would be a great place to post.

Not much going on.  Still getting ready for winter and weaving.  Have lots of things to get done.  I am almost done with the next set of scarves.  Then I have an order for a set of towels, then back to doing scarves.  Last on the list is another shawl.   If business keeps up I won't have to go out and get a real job ;=)

The guys have been hunting, seeing a lot but the son has missed two of his deer that he shot at.  The husband came down with buck fever.  They are so used to not seeing deer in our woodlot, that they were shocked to see so many this year!

Hope you have a great Thanksgiving, for those of you that live in the U. S..

Step-in up

The husband and son put in a much needed new step.  The other one was almost completely crushed.  We have a Christmas get together in a few weeks and decided that we should not have a stepping hazard for the older folks.

Today was the dreaded shopping day.  I did get me hair done, I cut it really short.  I still don't know if I like it or not.  I wasn't happy with the other cut either.   Eventually I will find something that I like.  In the meantime, I really have no choice, as it is too short to change now.

Annie's foot is getting better.  I am still going to keep her in a dry stall for a few more days.  She is getting tired of being in the stall.  I can see her now, when she gets back outside.  I will have to make sure I have the camera ready!

Hope you had a great day.

Attempt

This was my attempt at taking a picture at dusk.  Not very good.  The sunset was beautiful, though.  My pictures sure don't do it justice.

Took the car down to get a different adjustment for the insurance company and I liked this one a lot better, than the last one.  The gentleman was a lot nicer and took a lot more time with me.  I wanted to get an idea on how much it would cost to have it painted and the last guy wouldn't even talk to me hardly.  The other guy said that it would be better for me to have him just buff it and he would paint the wheels for me and get me a better price to have the back bumper replaced.  The insurance adjuster is supposed to look at the car tomorrow.  So, hopefully by tomorrow afternoon, I will have a better idea what it will cost to have it repaired, and do some other body work, that I have wanted done.  So, if I am lucky in a few weeks, I will have a nice looking car again.

Hope you have a great evening.

Oh, Deer!

Can't believe that this headlight and just a little bit of bent frame is going to cost me around $2300 to fix.  The son hit a deer with it Friday night.  It also took out the emblem on the front and the grill that is under the bumper.   I would of hated to see how much it would of cost if we would have had to replace the bumper.  He says that it is the headlight the frame and the grill.  No new bumper.  I need to replace the back bumper also, that is on my own and that will cost me $800.  One good thing, no one was hurt and the damages could of been a lot worse.  I would of hated to see how much anymore damage would of cost.

The weather here in the Northeast is just crazy.  We are still supposed to stay in the fifties all this week.  We haven't hit freezing during the day yet.  At night, yes, but not during the day.  I hate to imagine what the rest of the winter will entail if and when the cold weather and the snow starts to fly and stick.  I think that February will be or normal six feet of snow.  Yuck..............I think I better leave the snow thoughts for a later date.

Hope you have a great week.

What's up with that

On my way home from doing errands today, I happened to see the sky to the north of me and just had to take a picture.  My camera takes a pretty darn good picture!  Was a busy day today, but didn't get what I really wanted to do done.  Started out with having to call in the farrier and have Annie's hoof opened up to take care of her hoof abscess.    She is confined to her stall for the week.  It was pretty bad, I should of called the farrier sooner.   Then had to go and do my grocery shopping, and go to the bank and then go a pay for the repairs on the motor home.

I did not get to do a lot on the weaving, but I will get some done tonight.   Yesterday was dog training night.  During the day I did lots of weaving.  The blue ones are going to be just gorgeous scarves.

Hope you have a great night.

Doggie world

No pictures today, the computer ports on my laptop seem to not work half the time.   I do most of my work on my laptop.  It is so frustrating when you want to do things then the computer seems to like acting up.

I guess this picture did save to my pictures on the computer, so Sara it is.  She is doing great at her obedience classes.  She has been doing not to bad at home either.  Hopefully with a little more time she will be a pro at listening.   She sits really well, needs a little more work on the stay, but not to bad.  The down needs lots of work, she heels really well.  We have to work on the come and stay when she gets distracted with other animals (like cats)!

I have the new warp for the next set of scarves on the loom and I am all ready to start weaving.  I will probably do a little bit yet tonight.   I think the blue ones are going to be just beautiful, but I do happen to like blue.

Annie seems to have a sore foot again, I don't know if it is an abscess or something more, hopefully I get the farrier out within the next couple of days.  Been putting stuff on it and taping her up with duct tape, being as any kind of boot, I try putting on her hoof, never seems to stay on!

Hope you are having a great week.

Three done, and now onto the blue ones

I finally finished the scarves that were on the little loom.  I am now going to put on a blue set of scarves to do.  I have two people to get scarves to and hopefully I will have an extra to sell at a show.

I have a busy month and a lot to do.   I don't have these sold.  So, I get to add to inventory for the show next month.   I baked more bread this weekend, we had an engine club meeting.   We spent time going shopping for the hubbies new work boots, and bought some stuff to bottle our hard cider with, and put up another 5 gallons of sauerkraut.

Now it is back to the weaving now that the weekend is over.  Hope you have a great week.

The best

I took the dogs for a walk yesterday.  I gotta say, I never get bored with the view from our field.  It was a great evening for a walk.  Warm and not raining.  This I think might be our last of the 70 degree weather.  We have today but tomorrow the weather goes back down in the 50's.  Which for November, isn't all that bad.

Hope you have a wonderful weekend.

What a crock

We did sauerkraut Sunday.  Then the guys went to the sisters and did more apple cider.  It was a pretty busy weekend.  Thank goodness it is over.

I am doing a couple more shows next month.  Boy, do I have some major weaving to do.  I just hope I can have extra stuff to sell.   I will be weaving a regular day everyday for the next month.  Hopefully, my name gets out there a little more.  Work, work and more work, yippy!

Hope you are having a great week.

Halloween

The family get together Saturday was a great success!  I love to see the hubbies family all together and enjoying themselves.  Thank you all for coming!  The hubby loves it when he gets to see his family all together.

We got to get the cobwebs out of the large BBQ grill for one last time this season.  The chicken and the pork was a huge success.  NO, I will not give out my recipe ;=)  The family keeps asking me for the recipe for my BBQ sauce, and rub but, just can't give it up yet.

Then we went out for a drink with the cousin's.  It was a very long day for us, but I liked going out with the cousin's.  We had a great time.

Hope you all have a great week.
